Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Clare Harman Art. By using this website, commissioning artwork, or purchasing products or services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Ordering & Payments

  • All custom portraits are made to order. By placing an order, you agree to the price and turnaround time quoted at the time of purchase. This will be communicated to you through writing via email.

  • A deposit of 25% is required when all details have been agreed and work is to begin unless otherwise agreed.

  • Prices may change at any time without notice, but confirmed orders will not be affected.

 

2. Gift Vouchers

  • Physical gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of issue.

  • Vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

  • Lost or stolen vouchers cannot be replaced.

  • Purchased E-Vouchers can be either sent to either the purchasers email address or to someone else by specifying their email address in the specified "Recipient email" box.

 

3. Shipping & Delivery

  • Commissioned portraits typically take 3–6 weeks from photo approval to completion.

  • Shipping is available within Ireland and internationally. Costs are calculated at checkout.

  • Clare Harman Art is not responsible for customs charges or delays in international deliveries.

 

4. Returns & Refunds

  • As commissions are custom-made, refunds are not available on completion.

  • Non-custom artwork (such as cards or prints) can be returned within 14 days if in original condition. 

  • You are responsible for covering the cost of return shipping for any items you send back. Please note that original shipping charges are non-refundable.

  • Delivery times for exchanged items may vary depending on your location.

  • If you are returning an item valued over €30, we strongly recommend using a tracked delivery service and/or purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee that returned items will reach us, and if a giclée print is lost in transit, we will not be able to issue a refund.

  • If you're returning a print that is not faulty but simply unwanted, and it arrives back damaged, we will be unable to offer a refund. In such cases, you may need to seek compensation from the delivery service used. For this reason, we highly recommend insuring your return shipment to protect your purchase.

  • If your order arrives damaged, please contact Clare Harman Art within 7 days with photographs of the issue.

 

5. Artistic Rights & Intellectual Property

  • All images and artwork are the intellectual property of Clare Harman Art and may not be reproduced, copied, or sold without written permission.

  • Clare Harman Art reserves the right to display commissioned pieces on social media, website, or promotional material unless the client requests otherwise in writing.

 

6. Limitation of Liability

We strive to provide high-quality artwork and service. However, Clare Harman Art is not liable for:

  • Slight colour variations due to differences in screen displays.

  • Delays due to postal services or unforeseen events.

  • Any indirect or incidental damages related to product use.

 

7. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update or change these terms at any time. Continued use of the website after changes implies acceptance of those changes.
